A Bit About Cristina

Dr. Cristina Rosario DiPietropolo is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Leader Essentials Group.  She is an executive consultant with over twenty-five years of experience across multiple industries, giving her the unique ability to share her knowledge in various business domains.  Cristina is highly skilled in strategic planning, organizational behavior, human resource management, change management, leadership, and digital marketing.

With over eleven years of experience in human resources, Cristina was able to identify a gap within the industry related to personnel selection and the employability of specific populations.  She utilized this knowledge to complete her Doctoral dissertation to add a new understanding of interviewer bias for or against military veterans by assessing the degree to which military service experience influences hiring managers' selection decisions in U.S. organizations.  This study has added new practical and theoretical understanding to interviewer bias for this segment of the population by investigating the relationship between conscious, social, and unconscious biases and the employment offer decision.  Publication in a leading Human Resource Management Journal is scheduled for May 2022.  This investigation was also an opportunity to become a subject matter expert on different forms of biases that impact the workplace, including gender, age, race, religion, national origin, disabilities, all protected classes under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Dr. Cristina DiPietropolo also has extensive teaching experience as a university professor of management, with a special focus on leadership in entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, and international management.  Cristina's ability to bring theory to life in the classroom has carried over into her executive consulting roles.  As a result, she can view business challenges from both an academic and a practitioner perspective, positioning her as a strategic thought partner with her clients.

Cristina's fifteen years of marketing experience have helped organizations overcome resistance to change by creating exclusive internal marketing campaigns and change management plans.  These targeted marketing strategies for specific initiatives are essential for the internal branding of any type of organizational change, which is necessary for changing the cultural mindset amongst employees.

Additionally, Cristina also has over twelve years of transportation and logistics experience in the coordination and transportation of cargo from Europe, Asia, and Central and South America into the Caribbean basin.  Her expatriate experience conducting business in the U.S. and Caribbean while living in the Turks & Caicos islands has enabled her to view business from both a domestic and an international perspective.  It contributed to her understanding of the impact of culture in business and the relevance of cultural awareness-raising programs for international business initiatives' success.  Her knowledge of international markets enables her to identify gaps and customize strategic initiatives that meet the unique cultural aspects of conducting business nationally and overseas.

Her extensive experience across multiple industries intersect in enabling her to view business from several different vantage points to generate innovative solutions for her clients.  Cristina earned a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.  She also holds a Master's in International Management, a second Master's in Business Administration, and has a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
